Northern College is seeking an EDI Advisor (x3) in our Cultural division. The successful candidate will be open minded, empathetic, be able to speak in front of large groups, result orientated, organized, adaptable and dependable. The successful candidate will be open to travel, work in a fast paced environment and be a strong team player but able to work independently at times.

Reporting to the Chief Cultural Officer, the successful candidate advises CICan 50-30 Challenge Project participants on what resource and tools are available to achieve their 50-30 Challenge goals. The EDI Advisor performs a variety of duties associated with the CICan 50-30 Challenge Project through the promotion/administration of the What Works Toolkit and other supplementary tools and resources provided to the 50-30 Challenge Hub locations.

What you will be doing:

  • Provide advising services and supports to 50-30 Challenge Participants;
  • Provide one on one or group information sessions and workshops;
  • Promote the What Works Toolkit;
  • Mentor and coach individuals, teams, and organizations to achieve and sustain the 50-30 Challenge;
  • Encourage organizations to become participants in the 50-30 Challenge; and
  • Assist in quarterly reporting.

What you will need to be considered:

  • Two-year Community College diploma;
  • Minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience; and
  • Valid Ontario Driver’s license and ability to travel by car/air.

The incumbent may be required to provide a criminal reference check.
