The successful candidate is also responsible for external inquiries regarding the rental of rooms, cafeteria, auditorium, and gymnasium on the Kirkland Lake Campus.\r\n\r\nWhat you will be doing:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Provide full telephone reception services and respond to routine inquiries;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Direct external and internal customers\/students appropriately;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Prepare, collect and sort all incoming and outgoing correspondence;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Direct and guide students with issues to appropriate services;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Verify invoices in preparation for payment and resolve payment and invoicing issues;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Handle, balance and prepare cash receipts, bank deposits, and bank reconciliations;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Complete and input employee assignments into MIS for Human Resources\u2019 approval;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Respond to external inquiries regarding the rental of rooms, the cafeteria, the gymnasium and the auditorium;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Ensure that facilities are available; schedule bookings as requested; and respond to renters accordingly;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Coordinate with Caretaking staff, Plant and Property staff and Information Technologists as requested and required; and<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Ensure proper set up and\/or equipment is in the room being rented<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nA detailed job description is available from the Human Resource Services department.\r\n\r\nWhat you will need to be considered:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>One (1) year Certificate in Office Administration or a related\/relevant field;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Minimum two (2) years of relevant experience, including dealing with the public, students, and staff to solve problems and conflicts;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Experience with record management and office computer programs: and<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Class G Driver's License is an asset.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nThe successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will be able to manage their time effectively, work both alone and in a team, be punctual, reliable, and trustworthy. The incumbent will demonstrate knowledge of working within Health and Safety guidelines and proper food handling techniques. In addition, they will demonstrate patience, empathy and friendliness towards the children and their parents\/guardians. We believe in investing in those who invest in us, constantly working to build a collaborative and friendly working environment while offering top tier benefits and generous pension packages to our eligible full-time employees with purposeful, rewarding work, supportive supervisors and positive, engaged work teams.\r\n\r\nReporting to the Moosonee Campus Manager, the successful candidate will perform duties associated with preparing and delivery of daily meals.\r\n\r\nWhat you will be doing:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Prepare meals and snacks for children in the daycare centre;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Prepare food according to allergies\/sensitivities of the children;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Clean and disinfect kitchen to Ministry of Health standards;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Properly store and maintain inventory of food and cleaning products;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Follow approved menu plan; and<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Deliver food to the daycare centre.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nWhat you will need to be considered:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>High school diploma or equivalent;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Food Handler Certification or equivalent;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>5 years of related practical experience; and<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Ability to provide a copy of immunization record; and<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Valid Vulnerable Sector Check and Criminal Record Check.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nPlease note this position qualifies under Northern College\u2019s protocol for hiring in remote regions.
