Advanced Foot Care

Credential Earned: Training Certificate
Campus: Haileybury, Kirkland Lake, Moosonee, Timmins

Designed for the RN / RPN, the advanced foot care course will focus on diseases and conditions that are most commonly associated with foot problems. Participants will learn to differentiate between conditions that are within the scope of practice and those that require referral to a physician.

Guidelines for independent practice will also be discussed. Certificates will be issued to participants who attend all instructional hours, achieve 80% or higher on the exam and demonstrates safe foot care techniques.

Pre-Requisites: Participants must have the Basic Foot Care course, be Registered Nurses or Registered Practical Nurses and bring the basic foot care tools.

Tuition may be eligible for funding through the Nursing Education Initiative (NEI). For more information, please contact either the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario (RPNAO) or the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario (RNAO).
