IV Therapy (Intravenous Therapy)

The goal of this course is to assist participants in developing the skills and demonstrating the knowledge that will provide a high level of safety in the practice of intravenous therapy (embodies administration of solutions and placement of intravenous cannulas). Certificates will be issued to participants who attend all instructional hours, achieve 80% or higher on the test and show proof of successful IV starts (students will be responsible for completion of starts outside of the course).

PREREQUSITES: Participants must be Registered Nurses, Registered Practical Nurses, Paramedics or currently enrolled in an above mentioned program. Tuition may be eligible for funding through the Nursing Education Initiative (NEI).
