Lean Healthcare Yellow Belt

Northern Training Division
Credential Earned: Training Certificate
Campus: Distance
Program Length: 2 Days

Lean Healthcare Yellow belt is ideal for Healthcare professionals who are looking to increase their knowledge of Lean concepts, including front-line clinical and professional staff, physicians, directors and managers.

Our 2-day Lean Healthcare Yellow Belt Training is designed to provide attendants with a comprehensive understanding of Lean healthcare methods and prepare them to participate, as contributors, to Lean projects. The program outlines the essential Lean tools and practices that can be applied within a healthcare organization to increase service efficiency and quality, improve patient and staff satisfaction, and reduce waste.

Participants will develop high-level current state value stream maps that depict patient flow and indicate value-added and non-value-added activities. These maps are analyzed during the training to identify bottlenecks, redundancies and inefficient flow in a healthcare environment. This training entitles certified Canadian College of Health Leader members to Category II credits towards their maintenance of certification requirement.
