Mineral Processing Operator

This modular training program covers the basic knowledge and skills required to work competently as a Mineral Processing Operator. Students are introduced to the mining sector and receive a general overview of mill processes. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are prepared for an entry-level position in various milling operations throughout the world.
Delivery and Important Information
This program requires a partnership with mining operations that can provide access to mill process operations and support placement for students. Delivery is face-to-face with hands-on learning and practice in the mill environment.
Participants will complete the first 6 weeks of the program at the Timmins Campus followed by 3 – 7 day rotating runs. Students will be training on site through the Christmas/New Year holidays.
Pathways to Success and Career Opportunities
Graduates fill entry-level roles working in mill process operations.
Pre-requisites (may include but not be limited to):
- Future Focused: Work and Job Readiness
- Participants must have a Grade 10 or equivalent and must be able to read and write in the English language.
- Participants may be required to participate in a Drug and Alcohol Testing.
- Participants may be required to complete a Medical Assessment.
- Mine site-specific prerequisites and/or requirements may also apply. More details will be provided as available.
