• Completion of secondary school education, or equivalent;
• Five (5) years of relevant experience, including
  • Experience operating a diamond drill;
  • Experience in a surface and underground drilling environment;
  • Experience troubleshooting mechanical issues;
  • Experience training/leading/supervising new employees; and
• Successful completion of the following modules is required
  • U0669 Follow Surface Diamond Drill Induction Procedures;
  • U0652 Work Safely in a Surface Diamond Drilling Environment;
  • U0653 Operate Hand and Power Tools;
  • U0668 Protect the Natural Environment; and
  • U0670 Perform General Lock Out / Tag out on Prime Movers and Other relations Equipment.

Northern College is seeking two Nurse Practitioners at our East End Family Health Team. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to work under pressure. They will have the ability to operate an electronic medical record (EMR) and related technologies to work with patient records, send referrals, manage prescriptions, etc., as well as be proficient with the use of email, Microsoft Word and Power Point. Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with effective conflict resolution, mediation, problem-solving, and consensus building skills are required. Demonstrated skill in leadership, hospital and community nursing, team building, communication, and coordination is also required. Experience as an educator or preceptor and/or knowledge of quality management is an asset. Northern College is seeking a Cook in our Tikinagan Childcare Centre. The successful candidate will be able to manage their time effectively, work both alone and in a team, be punctual, reliable, and trustworthy. The incumbent will demonstrate knowledge of working within Health and Safety guidelines and proper food handling techniques. In addition, they will demonstrate patience, empathy and friendliness towards the children and their parents/guardians. Experience working in the janitorial area is considered an asset. • Properly store and maintain inventory of food and cleaning products;
• Follow approved menu plan; and
• Deliver food to the daycare centre.
