This course builds on previous pharmacology learning and further develops knowledge of medication therapies used in nursing practice. Students examine drug classifications, mechanisms of action, therapeutic uses, adverse effects, interactions, contraindications, and nursing considerations. Emphasis is placed on medication safety, client teaching, symptom management, clinical judgment, and the application of pharmacological knowledge to support safe, person-centered care.
