This courses are based on the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and CSA Z1006-16 Standards.

These Confined Space courses will guide you through all aspects of working in a Confined Space, entry and exit, to safe work and rescue procedures.

Confined Space Entry

Course Overview:
Confined Spaces Entry is a 1-day course that will guide you through all aspects of working in a Confined Space. This in-person training covers confined space entry and exit, working safely, and rescue procedures. This course is based on the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and CSA Z1006-16 Standards.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understanding what confined spaces are.
  • Assessing hazards and using personal protective equipment.
  • Understanding plans for confined space entry, exit and rescue.

Requirements:
Registrants must be Ontario Residents 18 years old or older.

Confined Space Rescue

Course Overview:
Confined Space Rescue Operations Level is a 2-day classroom and hands-on field application training course. Training is presented through hands-on field exercises, scenarios, classroom exercises, student participation, and discussions. This program meets or exceeds all requirements set by the National Fire Protection Association Standard 1006 and provides the candidate with the required knowledge and skills to obtain an NFPA 1006 certification.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Assessing hazards and using personal protective equipment.
  • Implementing plans for confined space entry, exit and rescue.
  • Using rescue-related equipment and tools to prepare and transport a victim.
  • Determining which rescue tools and removal techniques to use.

Requirements:
Registrants must be Ontario Residents 18 years old or older.
Registrants must have completed the prerequisite Confined Space Entry course.
