Program Length: 1-3 days

Northern Training Division is now offering two Confined Space programs:

Training is conducted through student participation, operational classes, field exercises and scenarios, classroom exercises and discussions. This program meets or exceeds all requirements set by the National Fire Protection Association Standard 1081, and provides an NFPA 1081 compliant certification.

Registrants must be Ontario Residents 18 years old or older.

Fire Brigade - Industrial Incipient Level

The Fire Brigade Industrial Incipient Level Course is a 1-day program presented through hands-on field exercises and scenarios, classroom exercises, student participation and discussions. This program meets the requirements set by the National Fire Protection Association Standard 1081 and provides an NFPA 1081-compliant certificate.

The National Fire Protection Association Standard identifies the minimum job performance requirements for responders to emergencies specific to Industrial Fire Brigade settings and covers the professional competencies for Industrial Fire Brigade Members at an Incipient Level.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Emergency reporting, communication, and response procedures.
  • Using personal protective equipment, including SCBA.
  • Ladder and tools usage, and cleaning and maintenance of equipment.

Requirements:
Registrants must be Ontario Residents 18 years old or older.

 

Fire Brigade - Industrial Advanced Level

The Fire Brigade Industrial Advanced Level Course is a 3-day program presented through hands-on field exercises and scenarios, classroom exercises, student participation and discussions. This program meets the requirements set by the National Fire Protection Association Standard 1081 and provides an NFPA 1081-compliant certificate.

The National Fire Protection Association Standard identifies the minimum job performance requirements for responders to emergencies specific to Industrial Fire Brigade settings and covers the professional competencies for Industrial Fire Brigade Members at an Advanced Level.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Emergency reporting, communication, and response procedures.
  • Using personal protective equipment, including SCBA.
  • Ladder and tools usage, cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
  • Hazard and risk management.
  • Use of different types of extinguishing agents.

 

Requirements:
Registrants must be Ontario Residents 18 years old or older.
Registrants must have completed the prerequisite Industrial Fire Brigade Incipient Level course.
