Registration

All graduates must register to attend the ceremony to confirm attendance, receive your 4 of complimentary guest tickets, and book your gown.

Please go to your Student Portal account and Blackboard to register. The registration will be open until March 24th.

Before the Ceremony

You will need to pick up your gown before the ceremony begins as the gown room will be closed during the time of the ceremonies. Late arrivals cannot be received as it is disruptive to the ceremony.

Pick up your gown, cap and stole in the C116 (there will be signs to direct you) between:

• 8:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. for morning ceremony
• 12:00 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. for afternoon ceremony with Veterinary Sciences

Once you receive your gown, cap and stole, all graduates will wait for the ceremony to begin in the main hallway.

You must arrive in the main hallway, ready for the procession, by:

• 9:15 a.m. for morning ceremony
• 1:15 p.m. for afternoon ceremony with Veterinary Sciences

If you aren’t there on time, you will miss your chance to participate, as it requires a lot of planning to organize everyone.

There will be direction signs to show you where to meet, where to get your gown, and where your program is to line up. We will also have some staff to guide you and help make sure you are in the right order to have your name called before going up on stage.

The Procession

You will be lined up in alphabetical order based on your program to get ready to walk into the gym for the graduation processional.

There will be a lot of standing and walking – you may want to wear comfortable walking shoes and make sure you have had something to eat and drink before you arrive so you have enough strength to get through the ceremony.

After the Ceremony

A complimentary reception will be held after the ceremony in the campus cafeteria with light refreshments.

There will be some gluten-free options to choose from, but you don’t need to let us know if you have special dietary requirements. You do not have to pay to attend this and there are no tickets required for it.
