This course introduces students to the pathophysiological changes that occur with acute, episodic, and complex health conditions. Using a systems-based approach, students examine alterations in normal body function, disease processes, and related clinical manifestations. Emphasis is placed on applying pathophysiology knowledge to the interpretation of signs, symptoms, and assessment findings to support clinical reasoning and understanding of client health conditions.
