Need a Tutor?
Are struggling with the comprehension of a specific course and could benefit from the help of a tutor? A Tutor is a peer who can assist and guide you by re-explaining and providing additional instructions on the topic with a goal of becoming an independent learner. Tutors do not do the work for you.
The process to match a student with an appropriate tutor can take some time, therefore it is important to remember to request a tutor as soon as difficulties are identified.
To request a tutor, please click here and complete the form. Someone will reach out to you within 2 business days (does not include weekends and holidays) to advise you on how to proceed.
Peer Support Program
Starting college can be exciting, overwhelming, and challenging. Because students come from different areas and diverse backgrounds, Northern College wants to help students adjust to their new surroundings. We have developed a comprehensive network of support to help new students with this transition and the challenges that they will experience during their first semester or year.
The Peer Support Program is just one part of it.
Contact your Student Academic Success Advisor for more information on the Peer Support Program.
