Farm & Large Animal Medicine for Veterinary Technicians
Gain specialized training to differentiate your practice as a Veterinary Technician focusing on large animals and farm settings.
The Large Animal Medicine micro-credentials are designed by leading industry experts to provide additional training and experience for Veterinary Technicians focusing their practice with large animals and in farm settings. Each micro-credential of the program is concluded with a three-day in-person Farm School in Haileybury, Ontario.
Micro-credentials offered include:
- VT5011 – Dairy Cattle Health Production Medicine & Software
- VT5021 – Dairy Calf Health
- VT5031 – Beef Cattle Health
- VT5061 – Swine / Pig Health
Fundamentals for the Homelessness Serving Sector
An introduction to approaches and ideas that support individuals experiencing homelessness to train for a career in the trades and human services.
Students will learn about current models, including volunteer models, vocational employment programs, and day-ready approaches to engage people with complex needs.
Educational Support
Further develop your skills and training as an Education Assistant to provide the best support possible to children with exceptional education needs.
The Educational Support micro-credential offers focused training for those working with children with exceptionalities, including courses in child development, classroom management, and assistive devices.
Child Welfare
The micro-credential offers a comprehensive overview of Ontario’s Child Welfare system, tracing its evolution from its inception to modern day. Additionally, the micro-credential examines the rights afforded to children globally, analyzes prevalent forms of child maltreatment, and emphasizes the crucial role of caregiver engagement in promoting child safety.
