The Co-op work term provides students with a 420-hour supervised work-integrated learning experience in industry. The work term enables students to apply classroom theory in a professional environment while developing industry-specific technical skills, workplace experience, and employability skills. Under the supervision of qualified industry personnel, students participate in meaningful workplace activities that support the achievement of the program’s Vocational Learning Outcomes (VLOs). Throughout the placement, students are expected to demonstrate professionalism, ethical conduct, workplace safety awareness, initiative, teamwork, adaptability, and effective communication. Students will maintain required documentation and participate in evaluations designed to assess workplace performance and learning achievement. Successful completion of the co-op work term enhances students’ career readiness, expands professional networks, and provides valuable industry experience that supports future employment opportunities
