This course introduces students to the principles of companion animal care within animal grooming and veterinary assisting settings. Topics include basic grooming techniques such as bathing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and coat care, along with proper use of grooming tools and products. Students also explore basic canine and feline anatomy, breed identification, skin and coat health factors, client communication, and workplace safety, including ergonomic practices.
