This course provides second-year Veterinary Technician students with hands-on experience in the veterinary surgical environment through active participation in live surgical procedures under faculty supervision. Students will apply surgical nursing, anesthesia monitoring, patient preparation, and recovery care skills while integrating knowledge gained throughout the program. Emphasis is placed on patient safety, surgical asepsis, teamwork, and professional practice, allowing students to strengthen their clinical competencies and confidence in preparation for workplace and clinical placement experiences.
