This course introduces students to the veterinary surgical environment through guided observation of live surgical procedures. Students will connect concepts from courses to real-world clinical practice while gaining an understanding of surgical nursing, anesthesia, patient care, and the roles and responsibilities of each member of the veterinary healthcare team. The course emphasizes how veterinary team roles function collaboratively within the surgical setting, supporting patient care and effective clinical outcomes.
