This course builds on previous nursing practice knowledge and skills through classroom and laboratory learning. Students refine psychomotor skills, clinical reasoning, decision-making, and numeracy skills while applying the nursing process to a range of client care situations. Emphasis is placed on parenteral medication administration and intravenous therapies, advanced wound care, urinary catheterization and bladder irrigation, nasogastric tube care, and safe medication practices.
