This course builds on previous nursing theory learning and focuses on the care of clients experiencing a range of acute, chronic, mental health, cognitive, and rehabilitative health challenges. Students integrate assessment findings, pathophysiology, pharmacology, therapeutic approaches, and evidence-informed nursing interventions to support clinical judgment and person-centered care. Emphasis is placed on mental health and substance use, adaptation and recovery, functional independence, quality of life, ethical decision-making, and collaborative care.
