Information for Graduates
Application to Graduate
All graduates must register to attend the ceremony to confirm attendance, receive your 2 complimentary guest tickets, and book your gown.
Please go to your Student Portal account to register. The registration will be open from Monday, February 2 until March 15, 2026.
Faculty & Staff Registration
Faculty and staff who are participating in ceremonies must also complete a registration form by March 15. Information is sent by email to all employees and is available on NorAction.
Before the Ceremony
You will need to pick up your gown before the ceremony begins as the gown room will be closed during the time of the ceremonies. Late arrivals cannot be received as they are disruptive to the ceremony.
Pick up your gown, cap and stole in The Pub between:
- 8:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. for morning ceremonies.
- 12:00 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. for afternoon ceremonies.
Once you receive your gown, cap and stole, all graduates will wait for the ceremony to begin in The Pub.
You must arrive at the Pub, ready for the procession, by:
- 9:30 a.m. for morning ceremonies.
- 1:30 p.m. for afternoon ceremonies.
If you aren’t there on time, you will miss your chance to participate, as organizing everyone requires a lot of planning.
There will be direction signs to show you where the Pub is located, get your gown, and where your program will line up. We will also have some staff to guide you and help make sure you are in the right order to have your name called before going up on stage.
The Procession
You will be lined up alphabetically based on your program to prepare to walk into the gym for the graduation processional.
There will be a lot of standing and walking – you may want to wear comfortable walking shoes and ensure you have had something to eat and drink before you arrive to have enough strength to get through the ceremony.
After the Ceremony
A complimentary reception with light refreshments will be held after the ceremony in the campus cafeteria.
There will be some gluten-free options to choose from, but you don’t need to let us know if you have special dietary requirements. You do not have to pay to attend this, and no tickets are required.
You and your guests are invited to join us for the post-graduation ceremony!
If you have any questions, please reach out!

You can keep only the graduation cap – it’s on us!
Your gown and stole must be returned to the Pub after the graduation ceremony and reception as they are rented.
If you are graduating, your transcript and diploma will be ready for pick up in room I002 after the ceremony has ended.
Please note that if you have an outstanding balance owed to the College on your student account, however, you will need to pay this before getting your diploma.
We are sorry you can’t be with us! We will miss you. The alumni relations department of the College will complete the sorting and mailing of all diplomas and transcripts that were not handed out about two weeks after the graduation ceremony. If you have no outstanding balance on your student account, we will send yours to you automatically.
We mail your documents through Canada Post to the last mailing address on file with us, and we only send it out to you once. If your documents are returned because you have moved, we will not be able to pay for postage a second time so you will need to arrange for this if you haven’t officially changed the address you have on file with us. Check your address on your student portal to be sure you get this very important achievement sent to you!
