Behavioural Intervention Team (BIT) is a group of campus professionals who collaborate on and respond to reports of concerning or disruptive behaviours on campus.
The BIT is responsible for coordinating information, strategies, support and resources in order to assist individuals who may be in distress or are exhibiting behaviours of concern.
The BIT encourages student health and well-being, and a safe campus environment overall. The goal of BIT is to provide early intervention strategies to assist students/clients and to ensure behaviours do not escalate.
Trust your instinct, if you notice disturbing or disruptive behaviour on campus, let us know.
All information shared within the BIT will remain confidential to the greatest extent possible, subject to the college’s obligation to investigate, follow up, and involve key stakeholders.
Please note that while you may observe only one behaviour, the BIT may have received reports by other concerned individuals and your information will assist the Team by providing a broad perspective of the student’s/client’s needs.
