Ways To Support

Northern College Foundation: Ways to Support

Thank you for making the amazing decision to make a difference in the lives of our learners. We couldn’t do all that we do without your support.

There are many different ways you can get involved with the College and experience the rewarding feeling of making an impact.

Please consider some of these meaningful choices in giving to the College and our students.

Give Your Time: Volunteers on campus that get involved with College find their experiences rewarding as they make a difference in the lives of others. Some ways your can volunteer include mentoring a student or graduate, supporting programs in an advisory capacity, or connecting with prospective students by talking about your experience at Northern College.

Give Experiences: You can take a placement student looking to learn more about what you do, hire a recent graduate and give them a chance to apply what they have learned or offer to partner with your organization on an event.

Give Support: You can donate one time or each year to create an award for someone you love, respect or want to honour, set up a scholarship for a colleague who is retiring, give to an event or initiative the College has already started, donate a vehicle or other in-kind donations, and even think up a project you would like explored or begun.

Want To Do More? You can even set up a custom Scholarships, Bursaries, and Awards for our students. Name your award, how you would like to fund it, and other details like value, availability, and eligibility to support our students.

You can even name a part of our campus, including rooms, wings, centres or buildings through your substantial gift. Current naming opportunities that you can be a part of include the Integrated Emergency Services Complex (IESC), our Innovation Hub (iHub), Vet Sciences Centre in Haileybury, the Kirkland Lake Auditorium.

Paulette Gingras

As a proud graduate of Northern  College’s Hotel/Motel Administration Food Service program in 1972, I continue to support the College in any way that I can.

I’ve had many rewarding experiences as a volunteer for various projects and events the College has hosted throughout the years.

More recently, I’ve been helping the Northern College Foundation with their fundraising efforts in partnership with the Timmins Charitable Gaming Association by volunteering at their monthly bingo session at Jackpot Time Gaming Entertainment in support of their college-wide scholarships, bursaries and awards program.

Thank you Northern College for all of the opportunities you have provided me. I will be forever grateful for all of the memories and great people I have met along the way.

Paulette Gingras,
proud graduate and volunteer
