Moosonee Campus Convocation
Convocation Ceremonies
Moosonee Campus
Congratulations, Graduates!
We are so excited to celebrate with you!
Your Graduation will be on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in the Gymnasium at Northern College’s Moosonee Campus.
Information for Graduates
Registration
All graduates must register to attend the ceremony by Friday, March 31, 2023 to confirm attendance, receive complimentary guest tickets, and book your gown. Please check your student email for more information and to register.
Before the Ceremony
You will need to pick up your gown before the ceremony begins as the gown room will be closed during the time of the ceremonies. Late arrivals cannot be received as it is disruptive to the ceremony.
Pick up your gown, cap and stole in the R105 (there will be signs to direct you) between 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Once you receive your gown, cap and stole, all graduates will wait for the ceremony to begin in R105.
You must arrive to the R105, ready for the procession, by 12:30 p.m.
If you aren’t there on time, you will miss your chance to participate, as it requires a lot of planning to organize everyone.
There will be direction signs to show you where the R105 is located, where to get your gown, and where your program is to line up. We will also have some staff to guide you and help make sure you are in the right order to have your name called before going up on stage.
The Procession
You will be lined up in alphabetical order based on your program to get ready to walk into the gym for the graduation processional.
There will be a lot of standing and walking – you may want to wear comfortable walking shoes and make sure you have had something to eat and drink before you arrive so you have enough strength to get through the ceremony.
After the Ceremony
A complimentary reception will be held after the ceremony in the campus gym. You and your guests are invited to join us for the post-graduation ceremony! Please watch your email for more information on this.

You can keep only the graduation cap – it’s on us!
Your gown and stole must be returned to room R105 after the graduation ceremony and reception as they are rented.
If you are graduating, your transcript and diploma will be ready for pick up where you return your graduation gown in room R105 after the ceremony has ended.
Please note that if you have an outstanding balance owed to the College on your student account, however, you will need to pay this before getting your diploma.
We are sorry you can’t be with us! We will miss you. The alumni relations department of the College will complete the sorting and mailing of all diplomas and transcripts that were not handed out about two weeks after the graduation ceremony. If you have no outstanding balance on your student account, we will send yours to you automatically.
We mail your documents through Canada Post to the last mailing address on file with us, and we only send it out to you once. If your documents are returned because you have moved, we will not be able to pay for postage a second time so you will need to arrange for this if you haven’t officially changed the address you have on file with us. Check your address on your student portal to be sure you get this very important achievement sent to you!
