Withdrawal & Refund Information

Withdrawal & Refund Information

If you need to withdraw from your program for any reason, you must officially withdraw.

Non-attendance is not withdrawing.

The withdrawal information on this page is for Domestic Students.
International students refer to International Deferrals & Withdrawal Information.

If you have not paid a deposit:
Login to ontariocolleges.ca, where you initially applied, and decline your program offer.

If you have paid a tuition deposit:
Withdrawal request must be officially submitted through the Withdrawal Form. Withdraw before Day 10 to avoid academic penalities and be eligible for tuition refund. See below for more details on process and timelines for program withdrawals.

Process and Timelines for Withdrawals

Important Information & Considerations

It is highly recommended that you speak with your Program Coordinator and with a Student Advisor prior to withdrawing.

The $250 non-refundable tuition deposit amount will be withheld upon withdrawal.

If you are an OSAP funded student, please speak with your campus Financial Aid Officer.

All important dates, including information about Day 10 of the semester, can be found in the Academic Calendar.

Withdrawing Before Day 10

Day 10 of each semester is the final date to withdraw from courses without academic penalty and to receive tuition refund.

Once a tuition deposit has been made, registration will be processed unless you officially withdraw.

Fall 2025 – September 16, 2025 – 11:59:00 PM
Winter 2026 – January 20, 2026 – 11:59:00 PM
Summer 2026 – May 20, 2026 – 11:59:00 PM

Some exceptions may apply. Refer to the Academic Calendar for specific dates.

Withdrawing After Day 10

Students who officially withdraw after ten (10) class days but prior to the Academic Penalty withdrawal date will not be entitled to a tuition refund for the current semester.

Tuition for the following semester will be refunded if applicable. Transcripts will indicate “W” without failure. A ‘W’ on your transcript will not affect your future applications. Withdrawals after Day 10 will result in full tuition and fees remaining in your student account.

For more information, please see section 3.4 of the Student Handbook.
