Train the Trainer

Delivery: This course will be delivered via Zoom.
Dates: Wednesday, June 11, 2025, to Friday, June 13, 2025

Train the Trainer is a trainer/instructor development course designed to meet the minimum requirements set by the Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development of Ontario for their common core training programs. Train the Trainer is essential for individuals who engage in training and instructing others, regardless of business type or industry.

Surface Miner Common Core

Delivery: This course will be delivered via Zoom.
Dates: Tuesday, June 10, 2025 to Tuesday, June 10, 2025

This program covers the 3 mandatory common core modules required for anyone wanting to work in a surface mine environment.

An in-depth analysis and discussion of these modules will be conducted, and a certificate will be awarded to successful participants upon completion of the program.

Introduction to Supervisory Management

Timmins: Monday, May 26 to Tuesday, May 27

Introduction to Supervisory Management will help you transition from being a team member into a role of added responsibility. It will give you the skills needed to prepare for and make the transition into management a positive experience. It is offered as a hybrid course with options to attend in-person training sessions at our campuses or to attend online.

Millwright Pre-Apprenticeship Funded Training

Timmins: 31-week program starting July 7, 2025

Pre-apprenticeship training is designed to provide eligible individuals with exposure to the trades. Industrial Mechanics (Millwrights) work on industrial machinery and mechanical equipment and components. This funded training opportunity includes trade readiness health and safety training, an intro to a secondary trade, and an 8-week work placement.

Phlebotomy

Haileybury: Saturday, May 3 to Sunday, May 4
Haileybury: Saturday, June 7 to Sunday, June 8

The Phlebotomy course teach participants how to draw blood and obtain specimens promptly, efficiently, and safely from patients. Participants will learn how to use the vacutainer system, prepare the patient, dispose of contaminated supplies and much more. Certificates will be issued to participants who attend all instructional hours and successfully complete two venipuncture’s and one capillary draw.

Our two day in-class course for Standard First Aid & CPR/AED Adult, Child, Infant (Formerly Level C) with optional BLS (Basic Life Support) component for Health Care Providers (formerly HCP) provides participants with the knowledge needed to manage choking, breathing and heart-related emergencies such as heart attack, stroke and cardiac arrest.

Firearm Safety & Hunter Education

Various dates for Timmins, Kirkland Lake, and Haileybury

New hunters of all ages must take Hunter Education training and pass an exam before they can purchase their first hunting license. The 3-day combined Firearm Safety & Hunter Education course will assist participants to become a knowledgeable and responsible hunter. The Firearm Safety only is available as a two-day course.
